Massage Therapy Modalities --
| Swedish Massage |
|
It's what people think of when they hear the word "massage." You'll be rubbed, kneaded, stretched and have the knots worked out in a session that's individually tailored just to you. Try a one-hour, or hour and a half relaxing, stress-relieving, full-body session.

| Myofascial Release |
|
Every cell, muscle fiber and bundle is not just wrapped in the tough, white, filmy substance called fascia, our bodies are a three dimensional dynamic web of fascia. Fascia give us shape, holds our internal parts in place and in the case of an injury, can bind us into patterns of pain and restriction. By releasing these patterns, the therapist can return normal functioning, increase range of motion and restore pain free movement. It feels good too!

| Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) |
|
A powerful, yet light style of massage, intended for specific conditions that impact the lymphatic system. Excellent for the treatment of edema (swelling) after procedures such as mastectomy, hysterectomy,
lyposuction and cosmetic surgery, or reconstruction. Also effective in treating chronic bronchitis and sinusitis,
allergies and exposure to various toxic substances and for general detoxification.

| Chair Massage (On-Site Massage) |
|
This is the type of massage that is being done in airports, offices and special events.
The receiver remains clothed and sits in a specially designed chair. Sessions last from five to 15 minutes.

| Pregnancy Massage |
|
Gives the "Mom-to-be" a much-needed chance to relax. By using a Body Support System,
a cushioning apparatus which allows her to lie comfortably, even on her tummy, she can feel renewed.

| Shiatsu |
|
Shiatsu is the Japanese word for "finger and thumb pressure," and this style of massage is associated
with acupressure. Slow, rhythmic pressure is applied with the hands, thumbs and fingers, combined with
gentle stretching, which revitalizes and balances body and mind. This type of massage is performed
with the receiver clothed.

| Reflexology |
|
Deep, relaxing foot massage. The reflex points that are stimulated in the feet are said to affect the entire body. This is a great way for people who are to tender or react too strongly to regular massage techniques to get relief. We have used Reflexology successfully with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and fibromyalgia sufferers, people undergoing chemotherapy for their nausea and people with sinus headaches. It's a great technique!
